HOW TO BEST PREPARE FOR YOUR MAKEUP APPOINTMENT
1: ARRIVE WITH A CLEAN CANVAS
Arrive to your appointment with freshly cleansed skin, do not wear any makeup to your appointment, we want to use your entire appointment time focusing on glamming you up, We’d hate to take 10 or more minutes out of your allocated glam time trying to get last nights mascara off.
2. WAX AT LEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR TO MAKEUP
If you are getting your brows/facial hair waxed we recommend doing it 1 week prior to your makeup appointment as the waxed area can be sensitive or red and sometimes the foundation has a hard time adhering to or sitting on freshly waxed skin.
3. NO LASH LIFTS IF YOU WANT FALSE LASHES
(lash extensions are fine)
Avoid getting a lash lift for at least 4-6 weeks prior your makeup application if you're wanting false strip lashes applied as its very difficult to stick false strip lashes over someone who's had a lash lift/lash perm as the lash lift makes the lashes more stubborn and hard to move out of the way.
4. FAKE TAN
If you're booked in for a makeup trial or bridal trial and you plan on being fake tanned on the day of your event / wedding I highly suggest coming to your trial with fake tan on as the tones of the makeup & eyeshadow / lip colours etc will look completely different on different skin tones and we want your trial to be an accurate representation of the look you'll have on the day of your event.
5. WHAT TO WEAR
We recommend wearing something that's easy to remove without wrecking your makeup and/or hair - a strappy/strapless/off-the-shoulder top is best, as this also allows us to blend makeup down your neck onto your decolletage and chest if needed.
If your makeup is for a trial, try to wear something that's a similar colour to your wedding/formal/event outfit, so you can get a real feel for how your makeup will look on the day of the actual event.
6. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse service if you present with any contagious infections including cold sores, conjunctivitis, open wounds or cuts, bacterial or viral skin infections or conditions, golden staph, or any other contagious illnesses or conditions. This policy is put in place to prevent product or brush contamination. We work with lots of different faces and want to uphold and maintain the best hygiene practices. If you attend your appointment with any of the above infections you will not be serviced. It is your responsibility to inform us of any of the above conditions prior to your appointment so we can reschedule you
